What Our Clients Say...

Benefit Auction
2009-02-03

Dear Matt,

Thank you for your great services as our auctioneer at the Charleston March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction.  Your energy, passion and organizational skills really made the difference in our return on the Fair Market Value during the live auction. We saw a 12% increase from previous year results.

The crowd was extremely pleased and entertained.  I believe your presence and style created energy in the room.  The atmosphere was fun, playful and conducive for spending.

It was a joy to work with you and I look forward to our future endeavors.

My best,

Kathryn Douglas, State Director

Dear Matt,

I wanted to express my sincerest gratitude to you and your staff at Holiday Auctions.
Our Girls Night Out event on. 1/7/08, which included a live and silent auction, was a
complete successYou are a consummate professional; full of energy and passion that was necessary to connect people not only to the auction items, but that the proceeds bidding on those items would greatly benefit the Greenville Rape Crisis and Child Center (GRCCAC). I was so amazed at your connection to the entire audience; you commanded their attention and made the entire process memorable and fun. Lastly, the sincerity expressed during the bidding on the art piece by Jared Emerson as well as during the "Fund a need,”was touching. You spoke from a place of healing, which is the message that we try to convey to all that come in contact with GRCCAC.

I know that a huge part of the eveningʼs success is because of you. I speak for the staff, volenteers and Board of Directors when I say, without hesitation, we will invite you back next year.
Again, thank you for doing a fabulous job.

Auctioneer Matthew Holiday at the "Homerun for Homelessness" 8th Annual Banquet in Warren, Michigan
2008-09-01

We have had 8 Banquets to benefit the disability community's housing needs, including a very exciting Official Super Bowl event in 2006. The energy you bring to an event is overwhelming and a joy to witness. Never have we had such "energy & enthusiasm" from start to finish at our event. And... I am sure that your clearly Blessed abilities actually benefited our bottom line above & beyond your fee.

God Bless you & I hope you spread your magic throughout the country at charity events everywhere.

Annual Auction at Montessori School of Anderson conducted by Matthew Holiday
2008-03-01

The Montessori School of Anderson has been doing a spring fundraiser for the past twenty-six years.  In the beginning we only had a live auction and in the past few years have incorporated both a silent and live auction.  We have used both professional and parent talent to play the role of auctioneer.  I believe that it is safe to say that in all of our years, we have never had an auctioneer who was so intricately involved in every aspect of our auction from item solicitation to the entire evening’s event.

Your involvement in the silent auction as well as the live auction not only helped boost the attendees involvement, but your enthusiasm and energy made the evening fun and enjoyable for all of those attending whether they were actively bidding or simply spectators.  Your problem solving and willingness to troubleshoot during the event really made a significant difference when we ran into sound issues.  Also your suggestions prior to the event proved extremely useful from organizing our items, setting values, event set-up and the suggestion of a new software which prompted our purchase of the Auction Pay software.  The “blinkie” light raffle was also a huge success in setting an enthusiastic tone to kick off our live auction.

D. Stathakis, Anderson School of Montessori

Danny Perkins, Auctioneer for February 23, 2008 "Multi-Sensory Affair" Gala
2008-02-01

It is my great pleasure to write a letter of support for Mr. Danny Perkins, one of Holiday Auctions’ auctioneers. Trident Academy was privileged to work with Danny during our “Multi-Sensory Affair” Gala held on February 23, 2008 at Blackbaud on Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina. From the initial planning stages through the event, Mr. Perkins and Holiday Auctions were extremely professional and supportive.

Throughout the evening of our event, Mr. Perkins engaged the crowd, was extremely thorough in his description of our items and managed the agenda in a timely manner. His expertise helped ensure that we ended the evening with a huge success.

Please pass along our gratitude to Mr. Perkins and everyone else at Holiday Auctions who helped make our event an unforgettable evening.

Ronald McDonald House of Durham Winterfest Auction Held on 2/8/08
2008-02-01

Please allow us to express our gratitude for your expertise and enthusiasm as our auctioneer for our Winterfest event, on February 8, 2008.  With your help we raised a record in our live auction and our Hearts of Hope fund a need program.  It is generosity from people like you that make it possible for the Ronald McDonald House of Durham to be a real home-away-from home for our families while their children receive medical treatment at Duke's Children Hospital....On behalf of all of us here, we thank you for helping make miracles happen at the "House That Love Built."

Real Estate Auction, Spartanburg, SC Held December 4, 2007
2007-12-01

We would like to thank Matt Holiday (of Holiday Auction and Realty) for his professional expertise, real estate advice, and personal encouragement when he auctioned our late brother Mike's house (our family home) in Converse Heights. He was always available by phone and kept us informed every step of the way.  His advice to empty and clean the house proved to be financially beneficial.  His encouragement to us during some very difficult and emotional times made selling the house in which we were raised easier to bear.  We had never heard of house auctions, but a family friend in NC real estate advised us to call Matt, and we are so glad we did.  We would recommend his services to anyone who is looking for an energetic, thoughtful, practical, and professional realtor and auctioneer.

Benefit Auction for Greenville Rape Crisis & Child Abuse Center Held on November 2, 2007 in Greenville, SC
2007-11-01

We had discontinued live auctions years ago based on our experiences with the previous auctioneer used.  This was one of the best auctions ever--the crowd was both entertained and energized and bidding was very lively. The auctioneer was excellent.  Many guests, both first time attendees and longtime supporters, commented on how much fun the live auction was and that Matt Holiday was the glue for the entire event.

From the creative games and crowd engaging activities to the professional support staff, Holiday Auctions helped generate more dollars than we could have anticipated.  Without a doubt, it was obvious that Matthew Holiday had our cause at heart and that he genuinely cared about the success of the event and the impact it has on our services. Thanks to Holiday Auctions for making this one of our most successful events.

L. Finley, Greenville Rape Crisis & Child Abuse Center

Sea Island Habitat for Humanity Auction Held on November 8, 2007
2007-11-01

We received nothing but glowing feedback from all attendees.  I really appreciate the time that Matthew Holiday took to attend one of our planning meetings and help us change up the tired old format we'd been using.

Matthew Holiday worked hard to get items' prices up and create a spirited environment.  Even for small niche items, he drove up the bids!  We have now seen his quality work and he was very pleasant to work with...an exceptional value.

Wake Enterprises Benefit Auction Held on October 5, 2007 in Raleigh, NC
2007-11-01

Adding a live auction to our silent auction proved to be a great decision; choosing to have Matt Holiday as our Benefit Auctioneer proved to be an even better decision.  We not only raised over 30% more funds than in years past, the fun factor was raised.  Our auction turned from an event that focused on mainly raising money to an interactive event that highlighted our mission and accomplishments through the Fund-a-Need, which gave guests an opportunity to learn more about us.

Matt's energy throughout the silent and live auction moved people to give.  At the end of the night, our guests left the auction enthused about what we are doing for our community and appreciated the opportunity to give to our cause.

O. Watkins, Development and Public Relations Director, Wake Enterprises, Inc.

The Health Adventure Auction Gala on October 13, 2007 conducted by Matthew Holiday, Holiday Auctions
2007-10-01

The success of the Auction far exceeded our expectations. We set a very ambitious goal, and we surpassed it.  ...Matt [Holiday] was energetic and engaging. Despite challenges with the sound, he held the crowd's attention and kept them actively involved. Based on Matt's recommendation, we featured a fund-a-need portion in the Auction and met the $10,000 goal.  In addition, repeat Auction items from previous years received higher bids this year.

[Holiday Auction's] experience and assistance was beyond any I had encountered with past auctioneers.  Their expertise was extremely helpful.

A. Dyer, The Heath Adventure
