Matt Holiday, CAI, BAS
Matthew Holiday, CAI, BAS, is the President and Broker in Charge of Matt Holiday Realty Group LLC. He currently serves as a member of the South Carolina Auctioneers Commission, having been appointed in 2011 by Governor Nikki Haley. He is a past President of the South Carolina Auctioneers Association. Matt is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina and Georgia and a licensed auctioneer in South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina.
Matt has conducted onsite and online real estate, personal property, and benefit auctions for individuals, financial institutions, probate estates, business owners, and nonprofit organizations. He specializes in the sale of land, commercial real estate and residential property at auction.
Matt graduated from the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) at Indiana University and received the prestigious “Rose Award” upon completion of that designation. Matt was also part of the first groups of auctioneers to earn the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) designation.
Holiday Auctions has won a national marketing award from the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). Matt is a member of the NAA, South Carolina Auctioneers Association, and the Michigan Auctioneers Association. Matt has previously served as an instructor for an auction school and auction workshops. Matt has been trained and has served as an expert witness for the court.

Monica Holiday assists with the back office operations of our real estate and auction business. She has extensive experience in the financial services sector, as well as the auction industry.
Monica received her B.A. in Economics from Rhodes College and her J.D. from the University of Tennessee School of Law. She served as an Executive Editor of the Tennessee Law Review and graduated in the top 5% of her law school class. She is a member of the state bar in Tennessee, Georgia, and South Caroina.
Monica practiced law at the law firm of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel for 4 years. She then spent 9 years managing the legal and compliance departments for a large financial services company serving as the company’s general counsel and senior vice president, followed by 5 years as a consultant for its national trade association.
Monica has received several legal awards including the Law Review Award and the Justice Joseph Henry Award for Excellence in Legal Writing, and has taught legal continuing education programs. Monica has served as a Board Member of the Friends of the Guardian ad Litem Program of Spartanburg County and is an active member of her church.
Auctioneer / Appraiser
Danny Perkins has been involved in over 1,000 auctions and large-scale sales ranging from real estate liquidation, antiques & collectibles, to construction and industrial equipment. He is truly a seasoned professional not only in the auction business, but also in the appraisal business as he has conducted appraisals for many banks, FHA, FDIC and SBA, as well as, for individuals and corporations. Danny joined our team in 2006 and still maintains his own company, The Danny Co., Inc., through which he conducts appraisals and personal property sales.
Danny attended the Fort Smith Auction School in Fort Smith, AR in 1975. In 1979, he earned his Florida Real Estate License from Volusia College in Orlando, FL and in 1980, he earned his Texas Real Estate License from Texas Tech. in Amarillo, TX. In 1997, Danny earned his CAGA Designation from the Certified Appraisers Guild of America and in 1998.
Greg Holiday specializes in benefit fundraising auctions and will soon open our real estate operations in Michigan.
Gina Stephens joined Matt Holiday Realty Group LLC as a real estate agent in 2015. For over 25 years, Gina has worked with various auctions including estates, antiques, personal property, charity and collectibles. Gina has also worked in the financial industry for the last 16 years.
Gina is a South Carolina native having been raised in Anderson County. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Gina lives with her husband and daughter in Spartanburg County where they enjoy boating, outdoors and a love of antiques.
Greg Farmer is a licensed auctioneer and enjoys working with clients using the auction method. For over 10 years, he has assisted with estate and land auctions and is currently focusing on benefit auctions. Greg graduated from Southeastern School of Auctioneering.
Greg was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and lived in the Philippines for 5 years completing a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. He lives with his beautiful wife and two daughters in Spartanburg SC. Greg is a multi-instrumentalist and plays in the folk-bluegrass band “Northern Border”, and frequently performs at live auction events. Greg has been recently elected and ordained as deacon at his church, where he serves in both the music and children’s ministry.
