Since 2000 Matt has specialized in the sale of real estate using accelerated marketing techniques and the latest online marketing tools. In addition to “traditional” real estate brokerage, Matt conducts onsite and online real estate, and personal property auctions for individuals, financial institutions, probate estates, business owners, and nonprofit organizations. Matt currently serves on the South Carolina Auctioneers Commission, having been appointed in 2011, and he is a past President of the South Carolina Auctioneers Association. In 2026 Matt was inducted inducted into the South Carolina Auction Association Hall Of Fame. Matt is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina, and a licensed auctioneer in South Carolina, and North Carolina. Matt is the founder of Holiday Auctions LLC and served as broker in charge of Tranzon Holiday Auctions. Matt graduated from the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) at Indiana University and received the prestigious “Rose Award” upon completion of that designation. He was also part of the first groups of auctioneers to earn the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) designation. Holiday Auctions has won a national marketing award from the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). Matt is a member of the NAA and South Carolina Auctioneers Association. He has served as an instructor for the auction industry, and has created a workshop on how to raise money through the auction method. Matt has been trained in federal court as an expert wittiness and has served as an expert witness for the court. Matt is a devoted husband and father, and he has served on the board of The Friends of the Guardian ad Litem Program and the City of Spartanburg’s Pedestrian and Bike Committee. During his down time you will find Matt biking with his children, running and cooking. Matt has participated in the Assault on Mount Mitchell, a challenging 102.7 mile ride to the top of the mountain. In 2012, Matt earned the designation as a league certified instructor from the League of American Cyclists so that he could educate others in his community on safe cycling.
